I have been rescuing since I was a little girl. I always felt that those animals left behind, as it might be, needed us most. Volunteering at a county animal shelter brought me to tears in how many were euthanized because there were more rescues than families to adopt them.

I realized that although I know about adoption and saving a cat or dog, so many people did not understand how heartwarming it can be. Both for them and the pet they rescue. They are unaware of the number of wonderful pets that are out there to be adopted. And those rescues are wonderful!

Bringing this to the public to ‘save’ a pet has long been foremost in my heart. To educate children and adults on what a wonderful thing it is to adopt a needy animal and carry this through their life, inspiring other children and adults to rescue. Through this education of adoption, we can promote the humane treatment of animals and decrease the number of animals euthanized each year.

The stuffed toys we present for ‘adoption’ represent real-life rescues. Some are still with us, enriching our daily lives, and others have gone on after having a wonderful life with a caring and nurturing family.

Our ultimate goal is to build an Animal Center where the most important aspect is to find our rescues a new home. Appropriate for them and their new family. You can also donate through this website towards our future Animal Center. Where we can rescue animals and continually educate children and adults, building a community where people value animals and treat them with respect and kindness.
